The list of tax acquired properties for sale is attached and includes the Map/Lot, Account number, Former owner information, location/address of property, whether the property is land only or has a building and whether the building is currently occupied, land and/or building value, and minimum bid required amount. The packet of information will also include the tax detail sheet showing the amount of taxes due and a copy of the tax map showing the property location on the tax map.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018. All sealed bids will be opened and read at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Thursday, November 8, 2018. All bids must include the following information: Bidders name and address, telephone number, the account number and map/lot information to identify which property the bid is submitted for and the bid offer/amount. A deposit check for 10% equal to your bid amount must be included with the bid in the sealed envelope. Any bid received without the 10% deposit check will be rejected. The deposit check will be credited towards the total bid amount for only the winning bid. The winning bidder must submit the remaining balance due within 30 days after award by the Board of Selectmen to finalize the bid. If the winning bidder fails to complete the bid requirements by not submitting the remaining balance due within 30 days, the bid will be considered voided and the Town of Greenbush will keep the deposit check. All other deposit checks for non-winners will be returned to the bidders once the bid process has been completed. The Board of Selectmen will issue a quitclaim deed without covenants to the winning bidder upon receipt of the total bid price. If the winning bidder fails to complete the bid and pay the full amount of the bid within the 30-day period, the Board of Selectmen may thereafter negotiate a sale of the property with any unsuccessful bidder or other party.
