The Town Office accepts payment in the form of cash, check or money order only.
CONCEALED FIRE ARM PERMIT APPLICATIONS
The Maine State Police will not accept the Town of Greenbush applications for firearm permits. Therefore, the Board of Selectmen will continue to issue these permits going forward.
You still must come into the Town Office to complete an application whether this is a renewal permit for you or a new permit for you. Only residents of Greenbush are eligible to apply.
The fee for a new application is $35.00. A new application for a firearm permit is defined as someone whom has never had one before or if your current permit has expired over six month ago. All new applicants are required to submit supporting documents that include: birth certificate and hand gun safety certificate.
The fee for a renewal application is $20.00. A renewal application for a firearm permit is defined as when the applicant has had a fire arm permit in the past and the current permit has not expired more than six months prior.
The fee for an address correction, name correction, or duplicate (lost) fire arm permit is $2.00.
If you have moved over 30 days prior without notifying the Town, not only are you considered a NEW applicant, but your current permit is invalid.
